It’s time to talk it out
Christian Counselling
Christian counselling integrates principles of psychology with Christian beliefs and practices to help individuals navigate life challenges. It is a faith-based approach that combines therapeutic techniques with Christian beliefs to foster healing and growth.
Christian-based therapy can help individuals dealing with a wide range of difficulties and conditions, including mental health issues, trauma, addictions and grief to name a few.
Are you wondering how your struggles integrate with your faith and beliefs? Whatever it is, Christian therapy is a great place to start untangling your thoughts and emotions and understanding where you are at in life. Christian counselling offers a holistic approach to mental health and emotional well-being by integrating psychological strategies with Christian principles to support individuals in their healing journey.
Talking therapy, also known as counselling, offers numerous benefits for individuals seeking support for their mental health concerns. Through open conversations, clients can gain clarity on their thoughts and feelings, develop coping strategies for stressors, improve communication skills, and work through past traumas or difficult experiences. This form of therapy provides a safe and confidential space for individuals to express themselves without judgment, fostering self-awareness, personal and spiritual growth. Overall, talking therapy can empower individuals to enhance their overall well-being and lead more fulfilling and faith driven lives.
“I will turn their mourning into gladness;
I will give them comfort and joy instead of sorrow.”
Jeremiah 31:13
Therapy is a safe space.
I understand that asking for helps is hard. I am committed to being transparent, open and honest in our relationship. Everything is led by you. The ultimate goal is to promote healing, personal and spiritual growth, and positive well-being for each individual.
I am an integrative counsellor. Counselling works, not by fixing people, but by using integrative therapeutic techniques, supporting you through your own truths and helping you to trust and understand yourself.
In a typical christian counselling session at White Pine, clients can expect a neutral and supportive environment where you have the space to openly explore and discuss your thoughts, feelings, beliefs and experiences. Sessions are client-centred, meaning the direction and focus are guided by your needs and goals. and at your own pace. My approach is to listen to what you need to share allowing you to feel heard. I may offer insights, guidance and scriptures and help you to develop coping strategies and tools to navigate challenges. Sessions may involve deep emotional processing, goal-setting, reflection, prayer or working things out in a more creative way if it helps you.
